Founded in 1984, Black Leopard Kung-Fu Do has a rich legacy of promoting and teaching the art of Kung-Fu. Our journey began in 1983, and since then, we have been dedicated to fostering a welcoming environment for all forms of martial arts, encouraging collaboration and mutual growth.

Black Leopard Kung-Fu Do is committed to developing, spreading, and promoting the art of Kung-Fu in an organized and systematic manner. Our mission extends beyond martial arts training to encompass the holistic development of individuals and the community.
Our Success
In 1993, Black Leopard Kung-Fu Do organized the prestigious 'All India Manchuria Kung-Fu Tournament.' Initially scheduled for the 10th and 11th of July, the tournament was extended by an additional day, concluding on the 12th of July, due to the overwhelming participation of martial artists. The championship was a grand success.
Main Objectives:
1. To cultivate a deep appreciation and understanding of Kung-Fu, ensuring its growth and continuity through structured training programs.
2. To maintain and improve physical health and fitness, emphasizing the benefits of regular practice and a disciplined lifestyle.
3. To actively participate in Inter-State, National, and International Championships, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and excellence.
4. To create a scientific approach to martial arts training, promoting a healthy environment conducive to positive human relations.
5. To use Kung-Fu as a medium to strengthen national integrity and unity, bridging cultural and social divides.
6. To keep Kung-Fu free from politics and other questionable influences, ensuring the purity and integrity of the art form.

Grand Master Hing Sifu Rana Sarma
Profile:
Hing Sifu Rana Sarma stands as a distinguished Grand Master in Kung Fu, holding an impressive 7th Degree Black Belt in Manchuria Kung Fu. Currently, he presides as the President, Honorary Technical Director, and Controller of Black Leopard Kung Fu Do, alongside its affiliated institution, Manchuria Kung Fu Bharat. He has been invited to various martial arts tournaments at all levels to serve as the esteemed chief judge.
Martial Arts Journey:
Hing Sifu Rana Sarma embarked on his martial arts journey in 1979, beginning with the Drunken Style Kung Fu, also known as Drunken Boxing. Sijo P.T. Lama mentored him at the revered Kung Fu Temple in Lhasa, Tibet, under the Drunken Kung Fu Organization. His dedication and skill earned him the prestigious 5th Dan Black Belt in this unique form of Kung Fu.
Pursuing further mastery, Hing Sifu Rana Sarma attained a Black Belt in Wing Chun Kung Fu, the highest rank in this discipline, under the expert guidance of Sifu A. Singh Deori. This achievement highlights his versatility and profound understanding of diverse martial arts styles.
Specializing in Manchurian Kung Fu, Hing Sifu Rana Sarma trained under the esteemed Hing Sifu R. Shekhar in Mahabalipuram, Chennai (then Madras). Beginning his study in 1989, he has since become a leading authority in this martial art, developing its grammar to the highest level. His continuous efforts to refine and advance this form are carried forward under Manchuria Kung Fu Bharat.
He was awarded the 7th Degree Black Belt from GIMAF Bharat under GM Dr. Bicham Kumar Singha.
Under his expert supervision, more than 22 students have achieved Black Belt status, and various champions at both national and international platforms have emerged, a testament to his exceptional mentorship and training.

Historical Origins: Manchuria Kung-Fu traces its lineage to the ancient martial traditions of China, with its roots firmly planted in the Han Dynasty (206 BCE - 220 CE). This distinguished style originated in the Manchuria region of northeastern China, where it was practiced by the indigenous Manchu people. Over the centuries, Manchuria Kung-Fu evolved, influenced by Taoist and Buddhist philosophies, and enriched by the region's unique cultural and geographical characteristics. The style also incorporates elements from Mongolian and Tibetan martial arts, reflecting a rich tapestry of diverse influences.
Golden Age and Development: The Qing Dynasty (1644-1912 CE) marked the golden age of Manchuria Kung-Fu. During this period, the style became integral to Manchu culture, with legendary masters like Wang Tingping and Zhang Tingyu making significant contributions to its development. These masters refined the techniques and philosophies of Manchuria Kung-Fu, ensuring its enduring legacy.
Introduction to India and Expansion: In the 20th century, Manchuria Kung-Fu made its way to India through Chinese immigrants, where it rapidly gained popularity. Grand Master Kalai-Achony Lee in Hong Kong played a pivotal role in its modern development. His school, Kalai-Achony Leeโs School, produced many skilled practitioners, including Hing Sifu R. Shekhar, the esteemed master of our own Grand Master Rana Sarma of Black Leopard Kung-Fu Do. Hing Sifu R. Shekhar was instrumental in spreading Manchuria Kung-Fu both nationally and internationally, enhancing its reach and influence.

The system is based on 12 distinctive styles, primarily derived from the behavior of animals, and encompasses the use of 35 different weapons.
